FUE mega session - hair transplant

For our planned FUE IM study, we still have a few seats left for our mega session study open to candidates in need of a large hair transplant of 2000 grafts or more. Our randomized controlled blind study has been completed, providing us with the background data we need. We will now proceed with our comparative main study on "Mega Transplantations Completed in One Session".



Our main study is on Mega Transplantation Sessions.

From January 2010 to March 2010, we will perform operations on patients who need in excess of 2000 grafts.

The study is carried out by Dr. Demir Ilter, one of the worlds leading FUE hair transplant surgeons.



To be eligibale to participate in this study, we are seeking patients who:



• Need at least 2000 grafts (corresponding to approximately 4000 hairs)

• Will provide photos and documentation at specified dates

• Return for a review session 12 months after the operation



The study will continue during January, February and March, 2010.

The Ilter Clinic recently performed a very special FUE procedure at Strandkliniken in Stockholm. The client was allergic to local anesthetic, which is an unusual condition that only occurs in only a small percentage of people. Because this made it impossible to perform the transplant in the usual way, and the client insisted that Dr Ilter perform the procedure, we contacted our friends at Stockholm’s premier plastic surgery practice for some assistance with a general anesthetic.The client’s health would have been placed in danger if he had undergone an FUE procedure at the hands of a traditional FUE surgeon using local anesthetic. Safety is an important consideration when choosing a clinic or surgeon, even if you are only undergoing a small procedure.With his background in thorax surgery, Dr Demir Ilter did not see performing the operation under general anesthetic as a particular problem. And naturally, an anesthesiologist and Strandkliniken’s specially trained nurses were present to monitor the patient’s health throughout the operation.The Ilter Clinic would like to thank the doctors and personnel at the Strandkliniken for the fantastic way they accommodated our staff and the client. We are unsure how many, if any, FUE procedures have been performed under general anesthetic. Perhaps this is the world’s first documented case?
